The story

The story, exploring the susceptibility of teenage boys to brutality and suffering, the socio-economic struggles the working-class youth are faced with, the pangs and passions of being young, rivalry, teen angst and, of course, romance, hit the stage like a ton of bricks in 2023 and opened at the Bernard B. Jacobs theatre on Broadway in 2024.

Its clever combining of music, special effects, movement, no holds barred story and incredible cast exhibiting the talents of mostly debutantes, oozed with the thrill of newness and blew audiences from all walks of life away. 'The Outsiders' landed four Tony Awards, an Outer the world Circle Award, two Drama Desk Awards, a theatre World Award, as well as a Chita Rivera Award.

If you're a fan, you'll remember Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Cade and the lot, the violence between the two rival gangs and their socio-economic-inspired antagonism in 1960s Tulsa. Now, The Outsiders North American Tour brings the acclaimed production to Kansas City, featuring Nolan White as Ponyboy Curtis, Bonale Fambrini as Johnny Cade and Tyler Jordan Wesley as Dallas Winston.

The experience

Not only is 'The Outsiders' drenched with outstanding 60s-sounding show tunes tinged with folk and pop-country influences delivered with great musical expertise, but also boasts incredible fight scenes, hard-hitting visual imagery, creative choices that will blow your mind, high-energy choreography oozing with slickness and grit and an off-the chart production value.
